Dr. Brad Hughes grew up in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School, attended Green River Community College, Eastern Washington State College (now Eastern Washington University) and graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1981 and then he joined his father's practice. Since then, he has seen thousands of patients and has made tens of thousands of spinal adjustments.

He married Patrice in 1978. They have three children and a daughter-in-law. In his free time, Dr. Brad enjoys collecting antique chiropractic books, equipment and memorabilia, including the first edition of a book by Dr. B.J. Palmer written in 1906, the first volume ever written about chiropractic. Dr. Brad has run five marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He has summited Mr. Rainier and has completed the Seattle-to-Portland bike ride. He enjoys running, bicycling, river rafting and has sky dived and parasailed. He has coached for a wide variety of sports, including soccer, baseball, basketball, cross country, and track.

Dr. Brad also served on the Holy Family Education Commission for many years and on the boards of the Chiropractic Society of Washington and the Chiropractic Technician Program at Highline Community College. Dr. Brad has been published in several periodicals and has spoken at schools, service clubs, and health fairs in the community about the wonderful benefits of chiropractic. He enjoys being a chiropractor and teaching people the value of good health and delivering the highest quality of chiropractic care.

Dr. Thomas Hughes
, an Auburn native like his brother, attended Green River Community College and worked in the community for a couple of years before attending Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In 1989 he joined his father and brother in their practice.

Dr. Tom enjoys fishing, and he plays basketball twice a week with a local league.

In 2006, Dr. Tom joined the Auburn Rotary Club, an affiliate of the century-old service organization, Rotary International. As a Rotarian, he works with business people around the world who are dedicated to local and worldwide service projects for needy individuals, communities, and organizations. His Rotary participation has allowed him to meet new business people from the community and renew old acquaintances while collaborating on service projects. The Rotary motto of “Service above self” fits with Dr. Tom’s chiropractic philosophy of serving the health needs of the community.

Patrice Hughes
, wife of Dr. Brad, began working in the office part-time in 1987 and has served as full-time office manager since 2001.

Patrice met Dr. Brad on a blind date in Spokane, where she was attending business college and working at Nordstrom. They married in 1978 and moved to South Carolina where Dr. Brad attended Sherman College of Chiropractic. After he graduated, the couple moved to Auburn. Patrice is proud of the empowering experience of having natural, home childbirths for their three children. Her hobbies include sewing, gardening, cooking, and walking. She enjoys vacationing in Montana to visit her extended family.

She is a long-time volunteer for the Holy Family School auction, a school where the Hughes' three children attended. Patrice loves to meet people from all walks of life and helps patients have the best possible experience at Hughes Chiropractic Health Center. She is the friendliest office manager you’ll ever meet!

Dr. Harold T. Hughes
(1921–2011), the father of Dr. Brad and Dr. Tom, was a 1947 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He founded the Hughes Chiropractic Health Center in 1948 out of his passion for helping people enjoy a better level of health. He received many honors for his efforts to change the law and open this state to chiropractic licensure. Read more about the important book he published, written by B. J. Palmer, the developer of chiropractic.

Dr. Brad's Philosophy
"I want to live and provide a rich and fulfilling life with the physical ability to do and experience all life has to offer. I believe our bodies are our greatest gift and if we take good care of them we can do the things that give us joy and satisfaction.

Through Chiropractic care and a common sense lifestyle of good diet, exercise, rest and attitude I believe we have our greatest opportunity to enjoy this life."
